What a great poker question: Question: Just watched sammy farha call a pre flop raise which was 20x the big blind with 33 which was 1/3 of his stack… Is this ok Answer: Note: When I say "effective" stack, I mean the maximum amount that can be won from your opponent. This is enough info in my opinion to say that it was WRONG to call with 33 here. Calling off 20bb’s with 33 should never be done unless the effective...
