A tough poker hands question this week. Let’s dive straight in
b.Charts/tables/comp.programs are a great way to bet the game
c.the purpose of betting is to avoid giving away free cards.
d.if you have a big hand, try to play a big pot,or when you have small cards, try to play a small pot.(if he tres to make a large raise to fatten pot,throw away smaller hands)
e.the purpose of betting is to obtain "free" cards
f. If everyone folds, you win pot(default)
g.If you have good hands,I want my opponents to put chips into pot(fatten pot)

…the Little Green Book by Phil Gordon(TV MC Celebrity Pok showdown,Bravo tv),yes i cansend yo copy, well, dont laugh, I used to read Poker for Jummies type books,…Now, for the first tiem ever, excusivley on PokerRoomc.om, you can now "tag" your FISH!,thats right, you can "color Code" all your oppoents at the table, ie, if tight= blue, loose=red, tight-aggressive= black, etc, & so forth & so on…..Now that's a new one on me..no lie, what other cardroom can you do that…..you heard it on Yahoo!ANswers….

C is correct because if you bet to protect your hand, you are not letting another player get a free card on a draw that will beat you. D is obviously right. The bigger the hand, the larger you want to pot (both money and players) and the weaker the hand the smaller you want the pot. E is also correct. If you are drawing and your opponent may be drawing, it makes sense to bet early (on the flop) when the bet is cheaper to put a little fear in your opponent causing them to check on the turn allowing you to get a free card if you do not hit. F is obvious. G is basically the same as D - if you have a good hand, you want to build the pot.
