We’ve have a reader question come in on the subject of poker hands. Let’s take a look:
Question: while playing party poker it seems most of the time when getting a winning hand the computer freezes. is there any possible way there can be a hacker who causes it to freeze up? Does anybody else having any problems playing and it freezing up. And can you suggest any other free poker sights?
Answer: It's probably your Internet connection, dial up. I used to have freeze up problems all the time while playing poker. It would do it on all the poker sites, now I got a wireless high speed and all those problems have gone away completely.
For what it's worth,I recommend Full Tilt Poker, they have more features then the others.

It seems unlikely, but why not just try another great site like PokerStars.com and see if something similar happens. I prefer the latter anyway, been using it since 2003 with no problems.

It's unlikely a hacker as the majority of poker sites on the net meet strict security criteria. You could try http://www.alamopoker.com if you don't want to download a program or ninepoker.com is pretty good too. It would also be a good idea to run a spyware scan on your computer in case you have something running that could be affecting the games.

You won't see any hackers at Party Poker or any big poker site. If you think about the risk involved to them you will realize they don't want anything jeapordizing their players.
The big sites have a lot of money to spend on the tech side of their software. They are always checking for suck activity.
If you read the fine print you will see that the sites often monitor your computers activities for cheating software as well. They don't want anything jeopardizing their profits. Imagine what would happen to a site who allowed people to alter their software…They wouldn't be around long!
