yeah royal flush (ten, jack, queen, king, ace of the same suit)
2nd best is four of a kind (like four aces)
    3rd is full house (i.e. 3 jacks 2 ten's)

    Royal Flush
This is the best possible hand. Ace, King, Queen, Jack and 10, all of the same suit.

Ok these people are fruit loops.

The best hand before the flop comes out (those 3 cards that come out) is a Ace and a King in the same suit. The only time Ace King ins't the best is if you are heads-up (1on1) with someone and they have pocket aces (2 aces in their hand).

Pocket aces are not the best if 3 or more people are in, but most people favor them 'cuz you already have a pair. Ace king is better though because you have the chance for a straight or a flush, along with the odds that you will indeed get a high pair.

After all is said and done, an AKQJ10 of one suit is the best, but it almost NEVER happens. Wining hands in poker are usually 2 pairs or 3 of a kind, with occasional flushes and straights.
