This week’s question is as follows:
Question: Where can I learn the formula that shows you how to calculate the percentages of who has the better hand.
When you watch poker on t.v.-how do they know which hand has the higher percentage of winning?
Answer: There is no exact formula. The computer (in mili/nano seconds) plays out every possible situation. If one player has 2D/4D and the other has 9S/9C the computer will determine the winner if there is a AD,AH,AS,AC,2D… and every possible outcome. Then it's just simply a matter of what percentage of those hands would lead to each player winning.

On TV all hands can be seen. The higher pair or suit has best chance of winning. 2 Players one with AK suited hearts, other with pocket 8's. On flop if 2 hearts appear with one being 8… the trip would beat the 4 hearts initially. On turn , if pair appears and gives the trip holder a full house…they have 100 percent unless the hearts holder has straight or royal flush… or higher full house…or or or or 4 of kind.
