Question: It seems to be a question no one likes to answer, and if I won a prize, would I be forbidden from receiving it, whether it be cash, goods, or entry into a live tournement?
Answer: There is a grey area regarding this question in the US. I would advise you to research this from the NC government website. There are a few states where it is specifically said that it is illegal, although I have never heard of anyone getting in trouble playing online poker from the law.
