What’s this week’s poker rules question? Let’s dive straight in…
Question: In one of my classes yesterday, we were reading over the school rules. It says no gambling! Me and my friends love to gamble though! I brought cards yesterday and we played poker and blackjack. Do you think I would get into trouble if we just bet, like, small stuff like skittles? It says dont gamble things of value. Skittels dont really have much value, right? Ok thanks for your opinion!
P.S. we dont play during class we play @ lunch.
Answer: depending on your school….. gambling is gambling

Why don't you ask one of the teachers or principal? — it's better than getting in trouble.

Do the rules say no gambling? What the heck do you really think?

Well I think Skittles aren't free the last time I noticed in the Convience store they Cost you to remove them from the store…
Use a Point System… Keep track on paper…

Forget the skittles. Gamble away your lunch money!

According to the rules, no gambling means just that. I disagree with that rule, but I'm sure that just because they stated that, that you will get in trouble for it.

Why are u playing cards at school in the first place????
Its SCHOOL DUh!!!!!!!
and wether your betting with money or toothpicks it is still gambling
But of course if you were paying attention in school instead of playing you would know that

Are you serious?!? If they stop you from Playing cards for Candy there is something seriously wrong with your school. With all the Garbage out there like Rapes and Assaults in the hallways, Drugs, Hazing, and Bullying I can't see why they would bust a bunch of kids quietly playing a harmless game of cards. I have a feeling they mean something more than that….at least I hope they do.

I'd put money on it. That rule is, at least partly, to prevent hard feelings and fights when somebody's a bad loser and, if somebody's a bad loser, it won't make any difference if you're playing for skittles or silver dollars. Shuffle up and deal, at home.

It is still gambling. And who is to say that you have not assigned a monetary value to the skittles, and will pay up in cash later? Not good, don't do it.
Hey, it is just August! Getting caught is not a good way to start a new school year!
It is OK to ask if it's OK just to play a game like Blackjack without gambling, but beware! You might be watched, teachers do trade info about students, and you'll get that trouble maker reputation. Unless it is already too late, the reputation is already yours, then think twice about rule breaking.
And you are welcome!

Don't worry, at least they let fat girls gamble too…. I'm sure if you work at it you will lose that extra weight…

Then you and your friend need to gamble on the week-ends.
Gambling at school can get you in trouble. You are at school to learn how to become an adult and a contributing member
of society, Next time, leave the cards at home.
