Question: I just joined a site and the tourny’s are set up like this:
$10 + $1 (the buy-in) and the prize pool is $100… So I understand that it costs me at least $10 to enter but the +1 is throwing me off. If someone can explain it in simple terms I’d appreciate it.

Answer: It costs you 10+1 to buy in. 10+1 = 11. It’ll cost you $11.
$10 goes to the prize pool, $1 goes to the website. I assume there are 10 people in the tournament, so that’s why the prize pool is $100. The wesbsite will make $10 for themselves.
