A poker question that should definitely interest you all this week
Question: Say if a man has made it obvious he finds you very attractive through flirting, checking you out, innuendo etc but at the same time, he wants to keep up a pretense of ‘playing cool’ because if he is too eager he gives all his cards to the girl and she ‘hands his balls back to him on a plate’ so to speak (sounds like a French delicacy! What a horrible phrase of expression though).
Or pretending to be unimpressed when he is really supressing a smile from you, that kind of thing? If the woman you like is giving you cool signals, you learn to also give her cool signals in the intial stages of knowing each other for your pride, dignity, not to chase after her sycophantically if you are not confident in your attractiveness to her. But, if she gives warm signals, you are very hot for it kind of thing?
Answer: Ahhhh. Are you saying women have a poker face too? Tut, tut. I always thought it was just a womans perogotive?!?!?!? Either way, you can have whatever style or facial expressions you want. What counts is that he…if a man?….takes the first step introducing himself. What? You gonna spend half your life being a body reader or Marcel Marceu? If you enjoy the mystery of relationship hunting, you truly are a tiger/man-eater. End of the day, you want him and he wants you. Life is too short for games so just ‘get it on.’ PS-Make sure he’s not a closet gay. Listening to Wham or Kylie Minogue music does have it’s limits. PPS-Sorry but he sounds like a wanker. Remember. The man makes the clothes. The clothes doesn’t make the man..

Yea, I think. I known many guys who told their friends they liked me, but I would have never guessed they did since I never saw them checking me out or even acting as if they were interested.

I would have thought that would be common sense. If another human being is warm and friendly what do you think any person’s response is going to be. If a person is sultry, rude and sometimes offensive what do you think another person’r response would be>
Sheeesh.

If men play poker face it doesn’t rule out your suspicions does it?
Therefore I’m inclined to say…
Me Tarzan, You Jane, let’s get it on, period.
Playing mind games can be very, very dangerous. Let’s see who can ‘care the least’ can be destructive. And then you end up thinking about ‘what if’ if you delayed. If you turn down someone just to keep ‘em hangin, you’re more than likely to be spending your absent time thinking about them anyway plus there’s an increased chance, unless they’re really, really into you, they’re making new directions elsewhere.
Seems a shame that we’ve developed our psyche into such a lie. It’s actually dishonest. Why deny what you feel?
Strange. True about not holding onto someone’s ankles but there’s also a sick part of playing someone, keeping ‘em hanging on a string, which can be futile and psychologically imprisoning.
The majority of women are the worst at this. Sad but true.

It’s kind of don’t generalize. Men and women can have a poker face or be that hyper yappy chihuahua dog kissing him/her to oblivion or taking it to the really extreme I want you NOW! I got that last one from a question I answered so it’s real.
