This week’s question is a good one. Let’s have a look:

Question: just came accross a new poker robot.
never used 1 before
so downloaded it and gave it a go at full tilt poker
played a sit and go with 90 players
came 1st with no assistance from me at all, it played the game itself, raising folding etc, making its own decisions.

but the software only works for 1000 hands, and its run out, then a licence needs to be bought £129.

would it be worth buying?
i know 1 in 12 people in poker rooms are using robots,

Answer: This comes up in poker forums all the time, people that use them are laughed at, why don’t they just learn to play the game?

My advice, bin it, buy some books, join a poker forum & learn from better players, in time you will learn & become profitable, then maybe acquire "poker tracker 3" the ultimate hand history programme = fish finder :)

If 1 in 12 people are using them, how can you not buy it?

Is that what the site told you? If you really believe that, I’ve got a couple bridges I’d like to sell you as well.

ever play against a computer? They know nothing about "psyching out" a person and they fold on the first hand if it’s bad, even before seeing the first flop of community cards (hold ‘em or Omaha).

There’s no human element, and if you let it "run wild" - who knows if he’ll even gain you money…

Ask yourself this - what happens if you spend the £129 and then Full Tilt bans your account and confiscates your money that you’ve won? Now where are you?
