Keep the poker questions coming! I liked this one:
Question: Do the Players on Poker After Dark Receive an Appearance Fee? If So, How Much?
Answer: Nearly all of the players on Poker After Dark, High Stakes Poker, etc have site sponsorships that either require them to make a quota of televised appearances in return for a yearly sponsorship package, or they receive a per appearance compensation based on the kind of appearance (appearing on weekly shows is worth much less money than appearing on a televised final table of a major poker tournament for example).
They do receive some minor compensation for doing the show, but most of the value in doing them is in self-promotion.

I’m pretty sure they don’t, the buy ins are at 20,000 and 9 players with 120,000 prize money… That means they would have to pay people at least 15,000 to attend… Which is ridiculous, I’m pretty sure the cash game, and the fact it’s sponsored by FTP gives enough challenge/publicity. Although, I’m not too sure.

I don’t think they actually receive a fee from NBC. Guaranteed they receive something from their sponsors for wearing their logos on their shirts and hats and the like. (Like Full Tilt Poker and Pokerstars, for example.)

No. There is no "appearance fee".
They get a little bit of money for wearing the patches if they don’t already have contract deals with the sites that patch them up.
