I just love answering these poker questions. Here’s another:
Question: I know ideally you would like 100% but in this game winning 100% of hands comes as often as a quarterback in NFL throwing 100% of his passes. I have a 25% success rate. Good, bad, or hopeless
Answer: Win % is totally irrelevant in poker. So is results oreinted thinking.Play every hand as best as you can, then go over your hands after the session to find leaks.

Depends on a couple of things. When you play, do you play with many people. If you play with 2 people it should be a little higher. At least 35% would be a good starting point to work for. If you have around 3-5 players. Winning around 30% is good success rate, getting a little lower as more people come.
Also how much money are you winning. Are you winning very few small pots. Or are you taking part and winning very large pots.
Of course this is my personal opinion. Just remeber when gambling you want to win the large important pots or get out before you lose to much money in one hand if you think you have been beaten.

A 25% success rate means absolutely nothing. Do you know that if a player decided he will play EVERY hand all the way down to the river, that player would WIN more hands than anyone else at the table? It’s true.
This player would LOSE more money than anyone else, but they would absolutely win more hands than anyone else.
The important thing to tell us is, "Are you making money???" What does your 25% success rate even mean??? If you’re playing way too many hands, and winning many of those hands because your Q-6 off-suit takes down the occasional luck pot, then I’d say you’re hopeless. You’re almost certainly losing money by doing this.
Nobody is going to be able to tell you whether you’re "good, bad, or hopeless" without more information. Are you winning money or losing money? Is this PLAY money??? (If so, then it’s even more worthless to wonder how you’re doing.)

25% success rate? At what? What does that even mean?
You are winning 25% of the tourneys you enter?
You are winning 25% of the hands you play?
You are winning 25% of the hands that reach showdown?
You are winning money 25% of the times that you sit down to play?
Sorry, can’t help you, since I have no idea what you mean.

A 25% win rate does not mean anything, what matters most is whether or not you made some profit.. you could win 25 or 50 percent of the time and still be loosing money..
So it all depends on how you won, it will determine whether your good, bad or hopeless..

25% doesn’t tell us much…if most of that 25% was just winning the blinds, it isn’t really impressive. If you mostly shove all-in, it’s even less so, since that means you’re losing your whole stack regularly.
However, if you mean you usually stand up from the table with 25% more than you sat down with, probably means you’re doing OK - the only real measure of success is whether you are fairly consistently a winner by the end of the evening.
