    It’s not a sport, but a surprisingly large group of people are interested in it, and it is a somewhat fun to watch competition, so ESPN has it anyway.

    i dont think its sport in the traditonal sense. However, it sorta looks like a sport and has similar factors to it

    Its a very popular spectator activity aswell, so i guess ESPN see that as something theyd like to broadcast

    No it is not a sport but it is extremely popular and surprisingly gets good ratings for some of the broadcasts so ESPN shows it. They will be having it on a lot now because they are building up to the most popular tournaments to play in and watch…..The 2010 World Series of Poker.
