What’s this week’s question? Let’s dive straight in…
Question: Is the Life of a Pro Poker Player a Good One?
Answer: For the top pros I'm sure it's great. You would need to define "pro" and "good" though.
If you love the game and are making a decent living at it and enjoying the time, then yes it's good.
If you only play as a source of income, hate playing, then it's probably not so good.
I play with a few people at the casinos who play poker for a living, but it isn't the life I would want. They grind it out for 8-12 hours a day and average about $100-200/day. But it is what they know and they probably feel they couldn't do anything else. Good life? You be the judge. It's all relative.

Like they say, it's an hard way to make an easy living. But in all seriousness, there hasn't been a better time then now to be a full-time poker player as there are so many new players to the field that the pickings are common. Sometimes, just changing tables (or online site) can dramatically improve your chance of winning. Not because you're necessarily a better poker player, but people at your table may be much worse (or new).

For these poker players it likely is:

…but for others, I would imagine there are some tough times. All depends on how much you can bankroll and how good a player you are.
