Another poker question has come in this week. Let’s tackle it straight away:
Question: $$ games
Answer: Online poker with it’s easy access, flashy programs, ability to multi-table, and turbo games all cater to the ADHD in all of us. Really ruins a guys level of patience
Patience, is what makes great poker players. People who play online, later when entering a casino will end up losing a ton of cash because they won’t have the patience to sit for 8 hours and play only good hands. Instead when people are at an actual table they get easily frustrated at not doing anything for 45 minutes and end up playing stupid hands out of position.
Otherwise, online poker is great, it’s fun, you can play in micro amounts if you like, and end of the day it’s better than paying 5 bucks on a lotto ticket :p

Vague much? OK, I’ll try.
The worst thing about on-line poker is that it gives people with a small amount of skill the false confidence that they can make money. They DO make money sometimes, but never quite enough where they don’t end up having to re-buy. They keep coming back because of those bad beats. (These are the people that are usually on the WINNING side of the bad beat because they called a pot-sized bet on a gut-shot straight draw.) This thrills them and gives them just the right amount of incentive to continue pouring money into the site.

I can’t see the other peoples faces, mannerisms, and if they can’t control it their shaking hands when they have a big hand. One of the random things I enjoy better about online poker is if another player takes a bad beat I don’t have to listen to their whining.
