This week’s question is as follows:

Question: My aunt is flying me out to Edmonton as a grad gift, I am 18 so I can’t drink in my home province of BC but I can in Alberta. but other then hitting the club I would also like to take in a night of poker being as it is one of my all time favorite pass time. Preferable I would love to play a sit and go. the max I would be willing to spend would be maybe 200 dollars. so I was thinking 1/2 dollar games would be about my speed. if not .5/1 I could enjoy playing ether. Also no stud only 5 card draw or Texas hold’em being as there the only games I would feel comfortable playing for money.
Or even a cheap tournament that would be great ( if there is such a thing!) any way I would love a link or response as I am very interested.
Answer: The River Cree Casino just outside of Edmonton is by far the nicest casino and has the most poker action out of any of the casino’s. However, there are four more casino’s in town to choose from. They are all good to play poker at (24 hour poker rooms) accept for the one at the West Edmonton Mall - small poker room and not that much action there. The game of choice at all the casino’s is 1/2 no limt and 3/6 limit with periodic tournaments as well.

Here is a Google map which highlights all the casinos in and around Edmonton. Call ahead to ask about the games and/or age limit.
